Linen Order Puller (LOP)

What you need to know!

As our Linen Order Puller (LOP), you will work mostly in our warehouse facility with your primary role being to prepare and pull customer orders for delivery or counter pickup.

You will spend much of your time on your feet locating and pulling rental products. When not on your feet, you will be preparing, recording and managing the paperwork necessary for each week's orders.

Speaking of lifting, the role of our LOP can be physically demanding.This type of job is perfectly suited for those who can’t see themselves working at a cubicle.

Who is RIGHT for this position?

An independent detail oriented person! Someone who is driven to go above and beyond, who can meet deadlines, communicate to management and take initiative. Organizational skills are a must as well as taking direction/following instructions being key points.

  • Print and record orders to be pulled
  • Pull all linen orders accurately and ensure availability
  • Check other department's pulled orders for accuracy
  • Put up all linens after processing
  • Assist at linen press weekly
  • Check in linens returned from customers - following procedures for missing or damaged items
  • Assisting other departments, as needed (linen processing, front office, etc).

Reading Comprehension Skills: LOP's will need to have excellent reading comprehension skills. You must be able to read and understand the information on customer orders and load sheets.

Active Listening Skills: LOP's should have good listening skills in order to follow directions given to them by Management.

Organizational Skills: LOP's should be highly organized in order to maximize their efficiency. Not all rental linens will be ready to pull at the time of order pulling: you must be able to organize available items and keep track of what is needed to complete the order.

Basic Computer Skills: LOP's need to have basic computer skills to navigate the software used on a daily basis. This knowledge is acquired through on-the-job training.

Prioritization Skills: LOP's will have multiple orders to process over the course of a day. This means they must be able to prioritize their workload based on any time restraints and the most efficient way to fill a given order.
